Diamond Contractor
Mitsubishi Electric runs the oldest and largest certified network of ductless contractors in the country, and Diamond Contractor is how you get into it. It is not a sticker you order. It means ongoing factory training, direct access to Mitsubishi's engineering and warranty support, and accountability back to the manufacturer for how the work is done. For you, the practical version is simpler: the system gets sized properly, it gets installed the way the people who built it say to install it, and if something goes wrong there is a manufacturer standing behind it as well as us.
Factory training that does not stop
Ductless is its own discipline. Line-set routing, charge, and zoning decisions are where these systems are made or ruined, and Diamond Contractors are trained on it continuously rather than once.
12-year parts and compressor warranty
Mitsubishi warrants parts and compressor for 12 years each on a system installed in a single-family home and registered within 90 days of installation. We register every install, because an unregistered system quietly loses that coverage. Commercial and multi-family carry their own terms, and we will tell you which applies to you.
Manufacturer financing
Mitsubishi extends consumer financing through the Diamond Contractor network, including a second-look path for customers who do not clear traditional credit. It is on our financing page in full.
A direct line when it matters
Priority access to Mitsubishi's technical resources means an unusual problem gets escalated to the people who designed the equipment instead of guessed at.
Most people ask how cold a heat pump keeps working. The more useful question is how much heat it still makes when it gets cold, because losing output at 20 degrees is the failure people have heard about. H2i systems hold 100 percent of rated heating capacity down to 5°F and keep heating to -13°F. That is Mitsubishi's published figure, and it is the reason ductless works here at all.

The selector tells you what each unit is. Deciding which one belongs in a specific room is the part we get paid for, and it is rarely the unit with the biggest number on the sheet. A dual-fuel system that pairs a heat pump with your existing furnace, cutting gas usage without giving up full furnace output on the coldest nights.

The answer for a house that already has good ductwork and a serviceable furnace. You keep the furnace for the deep cold and let the heat pump carry the rest of the year.
A concealed air handler that installs in several orientations and feeds conventional ductwork, so the equipment disappears entirely.

Every state we work in pays for qualifying heat pumps, and Massachusetts pays the most. One 2026 detail matters more than the rest: only R-32 and R-454B systems are on the Mass Save qualified list now, and R-410A equipment carries neither the rebate nor the 0% HEAT Loan. Mitsubishi's current lineup is R-454B, which is one more reason we specify it.
